We are prepared and able to purchase Steel Billets of the following Specifications: 1. Material:- Steel Billets (Low Carbon) Quantity: 30,000 MT/Month Visual Condition: Suitable for subsequent rolling and free from defects, such as cracks, shrinkage marks, hole and other defects detected by visual inspection. GEOMETRIC SPECIFICATION (WRM AND LSM) (a) Billet Cross-section: 100 x 100mm (b) Billet length: 12m (c) Comer Curve Radius: 15mm max (d) Square sided tolerance + 2.4mm. (e) Concavity and convexity of the billet edges as well as the difference of any two sides should not exceed 0.5 of the tolerance (sum of deviations) for the square sides. (f) Difference in the billet section diagona11ines should not exceed 0.7 of the tolerance (sum of deviations) for the square sides. (g) Maximum curvature of the billet is to be 10mm per 1.0m of the billet length but not more than 60mm for the tota11ength of the billet. (h) Cut obliquity: 6mm max (i) Maximum twisting of the billet: 10 degrees per 12m length.
CHEMICAL COMPOSITION: Low Carbon Billets with deep cold drawing properties rimmed or semi - killed steel with the following chemical composition: C = 0.06 – 0.10; Mn = 0.25 – 0.50; Si = 0.05 – 0.17 for semi killed and 0.12 – 0.30 for killed; Cr = 0.30 max; Ni = 0.30 max; Cu = 0.30 max; S = 0.05 max; P = 0.04 max. Quotations: Quotations preferred in batches of 10,000 mtons.
