On 21st and 22nd March, 2001, Kiev will host a major international conference on:
“Prospects
for
Energy Infrastructure
Development
in Ukraine”.
The conference will highlight the
significance of Ukraine in the transit of energy supplies to Europe;
reforms in the fuel and energy sector; the investment climate; and
prospects for privatisation of Ukraine’s gas transmission system.
The evaluation of options for oil and gas
transportation to central and Eastern Europe and advantages of transit
supplies through the territory of Ukraine will be of significant interest
to participants.
The meeting will be attended by a wide circle of policymakers from the Government of Ukraine, senior oil, gas and energy company executives, and international investors and business professionals. A series of keynote presentations will provide an insight into the economic, political, legislative conditions for development of the Ukrainian oil and gas industry in the context of meeting the growing energy needs of European Union member-countries based on the Energy Charter principles.
