Mechanical cleaning with high pressure water of the external surfaces of air cooled heat exchangers of every design with the  j&w-Cleaning System.

The deterioration of the performance of heat exchangers worldwide by fouling is enormous. The cleaning made by j&w removes this fouling at the external surfaces of the fin tubes in such a manner as it isn't possible by hand lance or fire hose.

Contrary to all the known cleaning methods the j&w-cleaning is a mechanical controlled
cleaning of these areas by means of high pressure water.

The procedures “ high pressure hand lance, fire hose“ used so far, lead only to a small improvement and an optical cleanliness, since only a small part of the foulings can be rinsed off.  The rest is pressed between the fin tubes and will not be rinsed out.

Here the foulings are compressed themselves and not only obstruct the heat transfer, but also the air flow of the fans.

The operation thereby has the following disadvantages:
- higher operating costs, a.o. by higher
current consumption of the fan motors
- reduced process performance
- risk of process failure

The effectivity of the j&w-cleaning is in such a manner remarkable that design data of the heat exchanger can be achieved.  By the enormous increases in output due to this cleaning the client obtains the break-even-point in shortest time, related to the costs of the cleaning.  So a 400 MW power plant in Great Britain could sell 14,000 pounds/week more power after the j&w- cleaning.   An improvement about 20% to 25 % in many cases is achievable. 

This cleaning takes place only with high pressure water without additives.

This is possible by the j&w-nozzle beam optimally designed for each fin tube geometry and an always constant jet angle.  This nozzle beam is linear guided and motor moved.  All systems are patent bending and utility models protected. 

With j&w-cleaning systems all well-known forms of air cooled heat exchangers can be cleaned:
- Air Cooled Condenser (ACC)
- Flat Cooler
- V-design 
- Hybrid Cooling Tower
- Natural Draught Cooling Towers

The heat exchangers are placed in the producing industry. In the main this are:
- Power plants
- Waste incineration plants
- Chemical industry
- Petrochemical industry
- Pharmaceutical industry
- Refineries
- Timber treated industry
- Automobile industry
- Food and Beverage industry
- Ceramic and Glass industry

Due to the described improvements in performance one of the worldwide leading plant designer equipped all ACC in new-built power plants worldwide with j&w-cleaning systems. Like that 3 power plants with a total output of 1,220 MW in Mexico and 5 power plants with a total output of more than 3000 MW in the USA and UK are equipped with j&w-cleaning systems.
