Since 1991, U.S. Medical Resources Corporation (USMRC) has worked with senior health care officials in the Newly Independent States (NIS) of the former Soviet Union who want to obtain sophisticated medical equipment at reasonable prices from reliable suppliers. USMRC represents, on an exclusive basis, several new equipment manufacturers, including cardiac cath lab, electrophysiology, angiography and digital imaging systems for all diagnostic imaging equipment. In addition, we are non-exclusive distributors of other new diagnostic imaging equipment, including cysto suite/lithotripter, magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), computer tomography, radiographic/fluoroscopic and gamma camera.

As our supplier’s exclusive distributor for the NIS, we recently completed the installation of a new cysto suite/lithotripter in the Ural Mountain region of Russia. Two more cysto suite/lithotripter installations in Russia are pending. We have created a lithotripsy service/training center in Russia. This service/training center stocks, in Russia, the spare parts needed for the service/repair of the systems.

There are situations where our customers demand today’s state-of-the-art diagnostic capability but determine it is not economic to purchase new equipment. In this case, USMRC will acquire from U.S. hospitals, remanufacture to "looks and performs like new" condition, upgrade the software, add all new glassware, add new components (such as a digital imaging system upgrade) as specified by the customer, and supply, at a fraction of the cost of a totally new system, almost any type of diagnostic imaging equipment. For example, we have recently delivered and installed a totally remanufactured GE Angiography System, with Cardiac Catheterization Upgrade, to Russia. We plan to leverage these successes and significantly expand our sales efforts in the NIS, focusing on new and remanufactured cardiac cath labs/angiography systems and new lithotripters.
