Industrial association "Kievpribor" (further enterprise) was created in 1947, as
an enterprise of gas equipment.

Modern history of the enterprise begins since 1965, when it has passed to
release the board and ground equipment of the objects of space communication, of the control systems of the board complexes for the transport spaceships.

Since 1989 to 1992 as a result of conversion the issue of the serial special equipment was much reduced and the issue of the consumer goods and civil  products was increased.

The period of modern history of the enterprise began in 1997 and proceeds to this day. This is a period of a functioning of the enterprise in comparatively stabilized economic circumstances. The main specific patterns in the context of a re-structuring are:

- gradual increasing of the overall productions and realization of the product;

- consolidation of saved on the enterprise big technological and intellectual
potential to create intellectual microprocessor electronic equipment and coming
out to the markets with this product in Ukraine and abroad;

-stabilization of the financial status of the enterprise. On such parameters as 
profits, liquidity, ability is visible that the financial status of the enterprise is in a good form;

-innovation function has further development. At the expense of own funds of the enterprise 2,7 million grivnas was directed on its fulfillment; 

- in 1999 the transfer of objects of social sphere under the authority of the local
administration was made. Objects of social sphere, which have remained on
balance of the enterprise have received the status of independent structural units without right of legal person;

-role of the design office of the enterprise was essentially increased. The tasks to 
supply development of the science intensive high-tech competitive production in
short term were assigned on the design office on a case of negative changes on
the market of special product;

-preparatory works on introduction at the enterprise of system of quality on the
basis of the international standards were begun.

The enterprise is located on 5 industrial areas by the general area 17,88
hectares. 

General area of the industrial cases is 134316 sq. m

General area of the industrial premises is 38.77 thousands sq. m 

The industrial structure of the enterprise consists of three specialized industrial
complexes (SIC). There are 17 workshops: 

mechanical, assembly (3), of the electrotype-chemical covering, of the
electro-radio devices, of the printed circuit boards, instrumental, experimental,
energy workshop, repair - mechanical, repair-building, woodworking area,
press-forming, of the mechanical mounts with digital programmed control,
transport, mechanical. 

Specializations of the enterprise are: special products, civil products
(microprocessor relay protection, gas-adjuster panelboard compact station) the
consumer goods (paint sprayers, garden-vegetable garden sprayers, everyday
heaters)

Technological structure of the enterprise consists of 37 basic separate kinds of
manufactures. Basic of them are: different kinds of mechanical treatment, 
engraving, photolithography, vacuum spraying, assembling of the microcircuits, galvanic covering, production of schematic bunches, moulding of metals under pressure, moulding of detail from plastics technological equipment totals 2540 units.

Total of technologies, which are applied at the enterprise are 38. 27 of them are of double assignment, 11 are unique, 37 are modern, 1 is morally obsolete.
There are 1372 workers and 79 professions at the enterprise.

Total area of the industrial premises of the enterprise which can be used for 
the development of new kinds of production including for creation of joint
ventures is 4.37 thousands sq. m.

Description of product
In 2000-2001 the development of 2 new kinds of production is planned.
Including microprocessor system of the relay protection of the energy subsystems, taximeter for cars.
