This plant was founded in 1963, was privatized in 1997 and currently employs 108.  The level of management was reported to be very high, with competent production and engineering directors.

The company currently produces a variety of products. They have a soft drink operation and plan to restart their apple juice line. They also have a complete line of confectioneries. There is also a bakery operation that is slightly profitable.

The firm had previously been a sunflower processing plant producing unrefined sunflower oil, but this has been dropped due to a shortage of raw materials.

Representatives of this company were selected to participate in the Marshall Plan, Fruit and Vegetable study tour to the USA in August 1998.

The company products and annual production capacities are as follows:

• Bakery - 900 tons/year
• Apple processing - 100 tons/year
• Beverages - 23 tons/year
• Confectionery (sugar) - 4 tons/year

The Directors have ambitious plans for the future, but need capital to expand.   They are looking for modern equipment and technological innovation for vegetable and fruit processing.

It will be necessary to modify production equipment and introduce technological innovations. The company is ready to consider all offers of cooperation and to implement all designs offered.  They are closer to their customers than other producers of the same products.
