Providing milk products to the Kharkiv & Donetsk oblasts

The Barvenskovskiy Milk Plant has been idle for more than one year while it undergoes a modernization and replacement program in order to get back into production.

Barvenskovskiy Milk Plant is on the border of the Kharkiv oblast and the Donetsk oblast. They get their supply of milk from three adjoining districts in the Donetsk oblast. The region has no other milk producers. The plant has recently waterproofed their floors and has purchased a line for processing kefir.

Until the plant is operational, Barvenskovskiy is sending its raw material to Kharkiv Milk Plant for processing. Once operational, it will be in a prime position to meet the needs of not only the surrounding areas of the Kharkiv oblast, but also the much wealthier areas of the Donetsk oblast.

The company supplies the following:

• Whole milk products
• Kefir

One of the Directors of this company was selected to participate in the Marshall Plan, Meat & Dairy study tour to the USA in September 1998.
