Open Joint-Stock Company "Elmis" is created as a result of re-structuring
process Industrial Union " The Kiev Radio Factory " in 1996, chief of the enterprise -
Chairman of the company - Alexandr I.
Bochkarev.
In 1998, December the enterprise completed all of its market transformations. In this period the enterprise has passed all basic stages of market transformations:
incorporation, privatization and became joint-stock company, conversion, and re-structuring. In this period the enterprise and
management
system practically were completely adapted for work in market economy conditions.
The modern history of the enterprise begins from the moment of entry of the enterprise (February, 2000) in structure of space branch of Ukraine (National Space
Agency of Ukraine) and proceeds to the present time.
The total area of an industrial platform of the enterprise makes 1,4227
The enterprise has 6427 sq. m reserve of the assembling-erecting industrial areas.
The total area of industrial rooms 31,449 thousand square meters.
The industrial structure of the enterprise consists of 6
shops, including 2 technological complexes.
Specialization of enterprise:

System management of space rockets and other space objects.

devices of furnishings;

transport products.
The technological structure of the enterprise consists of 15 separate kinds of manufactures. Basic technology are:

modern technologies on assembling

erecting

off-line mode and comprehensive test of any kinds of radio-electronic equipment

microfitting on the basis of thin-film technology with application unpackaged ERI;

manufacturing winding of products
-
editing of payments with ERI
-
assembly of sites of the exact mechanics

laboratory tests of payments, blocks, devices.
The park of the process equipment totals 4069 units of equipment, including:

2 percent of the equipment are age under 5 years,

10 percent of the equipment - from 5 to 10 years,
-
15 percent of the equipment - from 10 to 15 years,
-
73 percent of the equipment - more than 15 years.
Total number of technologies, which are applied at the enterprise, makes 15, from them are 4 - unique, 5 modern, 4 - obsolete.
At the enterprise has 90 trades. The total number of workers is 709.
The total area of industrial premises of the enterprise, which can be used for development of new kinds of production, including for creation of joint ventures company makes 2,5 thousand
square meters.
