IDS is the second largest distributor of mineral water and soft drinks in Ukraine after Coca-Cola.  Along with wholesale operations, IDS has 5 direct distribution centers (DDC) in Kyiv, Kharkiv, Lviv, Dnipropetrovsk, Zaporizhzhia delivering products to stores. 4 more DDCs will be opened in 1999.

The company has been in operation for three years, employs 250, and is privately held. IDS has increased its turnover from $5 million in 1996 to $22 million in 1998. The company is raising money to carry out a  number of acquisitions and consolidate its position in Ukraine's beverage industry.

IDS participates in the production of Mirgorodska mineral water (0.5 and 1.5 l PET packaging) - the leading Ukrainian brand accounting for 25% of the market. The company is the exclusive distributor of this water which accounts for 70% of the   company's sales. In the summer 1998 the company  successfully launched production of its proprietary Aquatoria soft drinks brand coming in four flavors. Aquatoria is bottled at a Kyiv plant.
