The company was privatized in 1997 and has 342 stockholders. It employs 52 and processes 4 to 10 tons of milk per day. Despite a shortage of raw milk, the company says their profits are quite good. The company is looking for credits since their plans are to produce yogurt and cheese in accordance with Western technologies. Mr. Sergiyenko, Chairman of the Board, was selected to participate in the Marshall Plan Meat, Dairy and Edible Oils study tour to the USA in September 1998. The company also has a sausage shop, a bakery and they process grain for flour. |
