The company was established in 1959 and privatized in 1996. It currently operates as an open joint-stock company. The Ukrainian government holds a 21.5 percent stake in Kristal. Its annual sales amount to US$1.1 million. Since 1985, Kristal has supplied its products to Germany, Bulgaria, and Vietnam. The company has signed several purchase agreements for supplying products to Asian countries.
