The plant’s history dates back to 1932. It used to be one of the biggest plants producing pens and pencils in the former Soviet Union. In 1994 the enterprise was privatized and became an open joint-stock company. Since 1995 production volumes have considerably fallen down.

At present production capacities allow to manufacture up to 15 million pen refills for all kinds of imported pens and up to 4 million pens a month. Each year the plant increases its product mix.
