In GeneralOur agricultural company, Peschanskaya Ltd., is in the forest-steppe zone of the Kharkiv Region. On average, that region’s annual rainfall is about 22 inches, 13 of which fall during growing season. We have 8,314 hectares (20,525 acres) under cultivation. Our main type of soil is Ukrainian famous black earth with a typical humus content of 3.5 to 4.0%. We raise 950 cattle, including 300 milk cows. Our main business is the cash grain processing of soft or “winter” wheat, barley, corn, sunflower seeds and cattle-breeding products. We also manufacture high-yield seeds of soft wheat, brewery barley, cross-bred corn and sunflower. Our cereal crops account for 60-65% of our cultivated area, 10-12% is covered with sunflowers; 10-15% with forage crops; and 8-10% lays fallow. Soft wheat volume is about 10,000 tons and barley volume is 4,500 to 5,000 tons. Distinctive CharacteristicsWe employ more than 300 people.We maintain an elevator for after-yield crops. It includes drying facilities and a warehouse. Its capacity is about 25,000 tons, which includes a workshop for corn processing with a capacity of 5,000 tons. We employ classical system of crop processing, which means we alternate from deep to surface farming. We use organic mineral fertilizers and other plant protection techniques. We have concentrated on improving existing technologies as well as on assimilating the latest plant-growing and stock-raising developments. We leverage the latest experience and agricultural science. We process agricultural products and market sunflower oil, mayonnaise, fat, flour and bran to both domestic and foreign customers. Goals for Ohio VisitGood management enables us to produce top-quality and ecologically pure products that are exported to Russia, Belarus, Netherlands, Morocco, Egypt. Due to our skilled personnel and continuous improvement of manufacturing processes our company has a chance to become recognized leader at the Ukrainian agricultural market. Because of our extensive export experience, we’re open to either joint ventures or other forms of collaboration. Specifically, we’d like to identify direct and indirect investment for quality improvement, product growth and market expansion. We’re a highly profitable and cost-effective company. |
