In General
Joint Ukrainian-Israeli Company “POLUS Ltd.” was founded in 1996 on the basis of joint private property. Company’s Founders: Trade Commercial and Manufacturing Company “Sirius Ltd.”, Ukraine and IBC FUTURE DEVELOPMENT GROUP, Israel. The production facilities are based in Kharkov, Ukraine. When founded, the Company was specializing in manufacturing of ice cream. Wide product range includes 30 types of popular ice-cream: creme-brule, chocolate, nut, caramel, strawberry, cherry, forest odor, vanilla with different natural berry, nut and raisins fillings. All types of products are packed in original packaging. In 1998 “POLUS Ltd.” founded a Confectionery Subsidiary. In the beginning of 2000 Confectionery had already been manufacturing chocolate and wafer products including 25 items.

In 2001 “POLUS Ltd.” pioneered the launch of molded wafers with different fillings. That product was called “Superchoko” which is now being produced as wafer bar with filbert, strawberry, cherry and banana fillings. Both ice cream and confectionery are being made of only natural products certified by Ukrainian State Committee for Standardization, Metrology and Certification. Some ingredients and components are supplied from Germany, Switzerland and Denmark. With the aim of increasing production of ice-cream and confectioneries Company constantly building new manufacturing facilities, workshops, storehouse with new refrigerating equipment. In 2001 “POLUS Ltd” launched of a subsidiary for unique industrial equipment manufacturing.

“POLUS Ltd” is managed by high professional and
self-motivated top-management team. The Company employs 360 people.
Production facilities allow to manufacture 6000 tons of products per year. Since its foundation the Company has developed more than 60 types of products made of high-quality ingredients. Though, this is not the final achievement for “POLUS Ltd.”. Specialists of the Company are working on diversification of the product range. High-quality metallized film is used in packaging and this allows to achieve perfect impermeability which extends the shelf-life of products. The best designers are working on modernization of packaging. Specialists of the Chemical-technical laboratory on modern devices define and control the quality of ingredients used in the manufacturing process. Joint efforts of the Company’s team resulted in obtaining International Quality Standard ISO 9001-94 in 2001. |
