Production Association “Monolit” was
established in 1975 at Kharkiv Instrument-Making Plant named after T.G.
Shevchenko. It specialized in production of automatic systems for NPP, TPP
and HPP control, automatic telephone exchanges, devices for rocket and space
equipment, electronic devices for medicine and household electronics, e.g.
tape-recorders, amplifiers, radios, music centers, acoustic systems, etc.,
under “Romantika” trade name.
In 1996 the subsidiary “Monolit-Romantika”
was established as a self-supporting company. The subsidiary comprises:
- Machine shop equipped with mechano-processing equipment (presses,
punches, stamps, milling machines, lathes, etc.) for producing parts of the
products;
- Assembly shop with assembly equipment for manufacturing and testing
electronic blocs;
- Assembly and release workshop with assembly and control equipment and
stands for final testing, final assemblage, regulation and control of the
items and their release to the store-houses for finished products
- Design and technology department for developing new items and
supporting technical documentation.

The company manufactures the following:
- Items for trains and rolling stock;
- Household lamps (more than 40 types);
- Household and industrial meters;
- Auto-transport accessories (automatic charging units for car
accumulators, amplifiers, car stereo-system, acoustic system,
loudspeakers, voltage regulators, electronic switchboard, rubber technical
items);
- Items for urban electric transport and underground;
- Items for industrial and commercial premises (radio relay center,
acoustic system, intercoms, talk-back equipment)
- Electronic locks
- Household radio-electronics (power amplifier, different types of
radios, acoustic system)

The company’s advantage in comparison with its competitors is that we
provide the complete cycle of development, manufacturing, testing and sales
of our products. Not many of our competitors were able to retain technical
and managing personnel, production capacities and technological equipment to
provide the complete cycle of operation.
