Our school is a four-stored building situated in Lesya Ukrainka Street, Kharkiv, Ukraine.Our school was founded in 1958 and in 1998 we celebrated its 40th anniversary.

|
Our
school is licensed and has the national level of accreditation. It
is a specialized school with advanced learning of English.
Alla Pavlovna Danilenko has been the Headmistress (Principal) of our school since 1984. She is a Merited Teacher of the Ukraine and has a number of official distinctions due to her work as an educational leader. We have 38 classes with 1230 students aged from 7 to 17. The teaching staff consists of about 80 teachers. All our teachers are very kind. They take care of us and make our lessons interesting and productive. By the way, 19 teachers are former graduates of our school. |

The school insures a high level of education on the basis of contemporary knowledge and the best traditions of state education. Last year 15 of 80 graduates were rewarded with the golden medals and 4 - with silver medals. | |

The curriculum includes the system of compulsory subjects corresponding to the State Educational Plan, the profound study of English from the first grade and German from the 5th grade. | |

Since 1992 our school has been carrying out
the admission of 6 years old kids to the preparatory classes.
Our school has close links with such higher educational institutions as Kharkov State University, Pedagogical University and also with the British Council and IH.

We
have many classrooms, an Assembly Hall, a canteen, 2 gyms, a
library, and the Lermontov Museum. Every year on the 15th of
October we have a Literature party, devoted to a great Russian
poet.
Our credo is
It has become a good tradition with our school to visit different English-speaking countries. So, some of our students have received a good education abroad.

But for us school is not only the place where we get knowledge. It’s also the place where we make friends, have a lot of interesting competitions, activities, learn to make the first steps in our lives and our teachers help us to do it. | |
