The citizens of Ukraine and of foreign countries which have secondary education may be admitted to the University. The Reception Commission works all the year round. The enrolment of students takes place annually in August.

For those applicants who want to be prepared for entering the University the Faculty of pre-college training works. This faculty provides the special studies of the USCTU's profile subjects according to the secondary school program. Bachelor's Degree in corresponding specialities is awarded to the students after basic, humane and general engineering knowledge mastering.

Specialist's Degree in corresponding specialities is awarded all over the year to the graduates with the Bachelor's Degree after their additional theoretical and practical engineering training. Master's Degree in corresponding specialities is awarded all over the year to the graduates with the Bachelor's Degree and with additional extended theoretical, scientific and practical training. There are 3 Academic Councils, which submit Doctor's dissertations in 7 specialities and candidate's dissertations in 12 specialities for the defense.

We have developed many programs that may be profitable for potential investors. We have a region-wide network of researchers and industrialists that can be used to promote foreign investment, transfer of overseas technologies and their adaptation to local conditions.

We could jointly develop investment projects, carry out training programs, and support links between the industrial communities in our region and other countries.

The general tendency of Europe countries association in the sphere of education, culture, science and economics stimulates international collaboration, greatly contributes to the development and reforming of higher-educational institutions, assists to investing into science and education and to the care of scientific potential.

Lately well-known foreign scientific centres and laboratories have got interested considerably in scientific research and scientific technical works being conducted in our university. The result is the participation of the university in the international scientific programs of assistance to science development within INTAS, in the scientific and educational program of Institute of open society (the USA), in NATO scientific program, in the support of scientists and in many others. For the last two years international scientific funds and organizations have financed 15 international projects, and among them some individual ones.

The participation in joint scientific research projects, researchers and students exchange program, officials and students work on probation, the solution of common technical and scientific problems jointly with foreign institutions of higher education, other measures lead to the integration of the USCE into the global educational net.

We would like to offer the descriptions several  extremely perspective projects in various areas of a science and engineering.  These methods already have found practical application in the science of materials (development of new composite materials with given properties), chemistry (directed synthesis of new connections with the given properties), optimization of working manufactures, etc.

These are some of the projects that can be a subject of scientific and technical cooperation with the scientists and businessmen in the West.

The USUCE is a prominent scientific center of Ukraine; its technological elaborations and scientific researches are recognized both in Ukraine and abroad. There are 2 scientific research institutes (SRI) and 7 scientific research laboratories (SRL) in the scientific subdivision of the University.

SRI of Electrochemistry (Galvanochemistry) studies the problem of absorptive chemical polarization, elaborates some scientific methods of application of a highly specific adsorption in galvanic cycle operations, creates the basis of the newest technologies in the field of electrodeposition, electrolysis and rust protection. The Institute has developed about 30 technological processes, which are ready for immediate integration.

SRI of Biotechnology fulfils the scientific research works, which are connected with agricultural vegetable waste products processing by the methods of biotechnology, vermitechnology and mycology with the purpose of obtaining some preparations. They are anticarcinogenic and antimutation carrotine preparations, some medical and food admixtures, vitamins, growth stimulators, vegetable and animal means of protection. The Institute works successfully in the direction of -carrotine production technology as well as edible mushrooms, yeast, seaweeds and new kinds of raw materials production.

SRL of plastic and intermediate products carries out scientific researches in the fields of polymers synthesis, thermal and light stabilizers, compositional materials with improved mechanical and thermal characteristics for integration them into machine building.

Some elaborations of biochemical buffer substances and medical preparations are also well-known. SRI of chemistry and natural polymers technology elaborates and improves some technologies of production of furfural, carrotine, yeast and others.

SRI of bioelectrochemistry is well-known and widely represented at international electrochemical forums. The processes of generation and impulse passage through the seaweeds cells, dynamic processes of photoinductive transfer of hydrogen ions in chlorinators, electrochemical processes of bi- and mono-phospholipide membranes.

SRL of accumulator systems works out the problems of accumulator industry. The staff of the laboratory carries out the investigations of the processes in accumulators and in some electrodes with solid and porosity reagents. SRL studies the influence of activating and stabilizing admixtures on the characteristics of accumulators, it works out new types of accumulator systems on the basis of organic active materials.

SRL of plasmochemical processes decides the problems connected with the development of scientific methods and dispersional oxide and non-oxide compounds technology for special ceramics of constructional, radio-, bio- and catalyzing purposes; with the treatment of surface of various materials and products with plasma; with plasmorecuperational industry waste and pesticides processing and with fertilizers production.

Principal directions of scientific activities of SRL modula and complex raw materials processing are the development of biologically active substances obtaining technology for food, perfume and medical industry branches, the development of wasteless treatment of vegetable and animal origin waste and also high-efficiency apparatus for "liquid-solid" system.

In SRL of chemical current sources the main directions of activity are connected with investigations, development and optimization of chemical current sources with non-aqueous electrolytes and lithium anode, whose characteristics (application time, operating temperatures range) exceed those of traditional chemical current sources several times.

The results of conducted investigations are used in the synthesis of new high-efficiency electrode materials and electrolytes, in the study of their electrochemical characteristics, new systems design and in current sources production technology of new gene-ration.
