A Device to Treat Vegetables and Fruit

This device is based on the electron-ion technology, being meant for treatment of fruits and vegetables in repositories and means of transportation. It keeps the fruits and vegetables practically intact in the usual air environment, preserving and even improving their gustatory and culinary properties for the whole shelf life.

 The complete set includes:
            - a ventilation box with peepholes and systems of electrodes;
            - a high-voltage source with an automatic control desk.

Technical characteristics of the device are as follows:
            Power supply: 220 V, 50 Hz.
            Power consumption: 1.5 kW.
            Maximum working current: 15 mA.
            Overall dimensions: 2.5 x 1.0 x 0.8 m.
            Weight: 150 kg.

The device may also be used for pre-sowing treatment of potato tubers. This results in a considerable improvement of their sowing qualities and a rise of the yield capacity of the potatoes.
