THE METHOD AND SOFTWARE FOR DIAGNOSTICS AND PREDICTION OF EROSIVE WEAR OF MOVABLE BLADES IN LOW PRESSURE SECTIONS OF LARGE POWER-GENERATING TURBINES
This work is concerned with the problem of better effectiveness increase of low-pressure sections of large power-generating turbines operating with wet vapor and under increased threat of erosive damage conditions.
The method and code set here proposed is based on using the mathematical erosion model for moving blades of wet steam stages of a power-generating turbine. This model takes into account the physical properties of this working process in these stages and the kinetics of structural blade material wear under the influence of high-speed polydisperse wet droplet steams forming in a blading.
Possible Products and Applications
The method together with the code set allows the following:
-conduct diagnostics of erosive wear of moving blades for the last stages of low-pressure cylinders of steam turbines;
-work out the design and regime actions providing substantial improvement of erosive wear resistance and increase of operation life of wet steam stages by using a criterion of erosion threat; -predict changing of effectiveness and reliability characteristics for electric station turbine plants caused by erosive damage of movable guide vanes at all operation regimes.
Finances
Means are allotted by the National Academy of Science of the Ukraine. It's necessary to enlist supplementary means for the industrial assimilating of this working out. It's offered to ask for the financial support keeping within realization of any cooperative scientific programs (Scientific Programs of NATO, STCU and other related organizations).
