The World Bank approved a grant of $23.2 M to Ukraine under the Global Credit Program to help the country phase out the ozone-depleting substances within the internationally set deadlines. The aid will help massive industrial users of ozone-depleting compounds change to harmless materials. The grant is also intended to assure necessary technical support and structural reinforcement to the Ozone Agency of the Ministry for Environmental Protection and Nuclear Safety, which is among the government institutions responsible for the project.
